A one-way street.
This page reports, it does not discuss. That is deliberate: a channel you can trust at a glance is worth more than one where notice and opinion sit side by side.
What you find here
Maintenance work, locked machines, changed hours, workshop windows, and at regular intervals a recap in numbers. Written by the team only.
What you do not find here
No comments, no replies, no names. Who used a machine and when is not a notice. That stays between you and the workshop.
Where questions go
Questions belong at the machine and in conversation, not in a stream of notices. Hours and directions are under hours and contact.
The sign on the machine takes precedence
A lockout applies even if it has not been posted here yet. This page complements looking at the machine, it does not replace it.
03 · Workshop windows
Fixed times when someone is there.
A workshop window is an announced slot when someone from the team is in the workshop: for questions, for inductions, for building alongside you. No course, no obligation to register, just come by.
What is listed takes place
A session in the list is planned and staffed. There is nothing to do but show up.
One click, no form
Anyone who is inducted and cleared for the community signs up in one click above, and withdraws just as easily. It helps us plan; you may come without signing up, and without clearance coming is the only route anyway.
It appears here immediately
A cancelled window creates a notice on this page right away. There is nowhere else you need to check.
Your sign-up is not public
Publicly, this page shows only what takes place and when. The number of places still free is visible to inducted community members only, and even they see just a number. Nobody outside the team sees who signed up.
Access to the workshop follows the induction: induction and access. The machines on offer are listed under equipment; 3D printers are reserved under printer booking. How many machines are free right now is shown on workshop right now.
