Before you work in the workshop for the first time, you accept the founders' centre's terms of use. They set out what you may use, what you are answerable for, and what applies if something breaks.

What is binding is the full German contract text „Nutzungsvereinbarung für das Gründungszentrum der HWR Berlin — Vereinbarung zur Nutzung von Laboren, Werkstätten und Medienstudios". It covers every facility of the founders' centre, the prototyping workshop included. What you read on this page is orientation — not a summary with legal force of its own.
What it covers
| What the workshop is for | Production, prototyping and project work. Excluded are, among others, work involving open flames, pyrotechnics or hazardous substances, and anything that endangers other people. |

| When you may work | After your induction, within opening and supervised hours. The resin printer runs supervised only. |
| What you answer for | Careful handling of the equipment, and damage you are responsible for. The details are in the contract text — read them before you sign. |
| If something breaks | Tell the team straight away, even if it looks minor. Reported damage is a case; unreported damage is a problem. |
How acceptance works
Acceptance is part of the induction: you read the agreement, the team answers your questions, and you accept it. Only then does your induction go into the register — and only that entry unlocks printer booking.
