Induction & Access.

Before you step up to a device, we induct you — short, practical, once per thing. This page explains how the level model works and how you get into the workshop. What's binding in the end is the usage agreement you accept before you start working.

01 — Level model

Green, yellow, red — three ways to a device.

The level tells you how you get onto a device: what induction is involved and whether you work on your own or supervised only. It describes the way to the machine, not the price.

Level 1 — Green

Free after basic induction

Benches and hand tools: one basic induction — then you use these devices on your own.

Level 2 — Yellow

Plus device-specific induction

Some machines need an additional short, device-specific induction — then you're cleared for that device.

Level 3 — Red

Supervised window only

The large machines run in a supervised window with oversight only — we're with you from setup to the last cut.

Not a contract excerpt This is the operational explanation of the induction level model — not a contract excerpt; what's binding is the usage agreement.

Which level a device actually carries follows device by device with the first inventory — then the level shows right on the device in the catalogue. Supervised windows we'll announce as soon as they're set.

02 — Process

Into the workshop in three steps.

From first contact to first part — no detours. We agree dates and supervised windows with you along the way.

01

Ask

Tell us via Hours & Contact what you want to build. We'll work out which area and which devices fit.

02

Induction

At the agreed time you do the basic induction — and, where needed, the device-specific one. We go through the device-level details together there.

03

Build

Once cleared, you get going: green devices on your own, red ones in a supervised window. We're there when you need us.

03 — What to bring

So the induction runs quickly.

A few general things help you get ready fast. These are examples and pointers — not a definitive list.

  • Your reference. Programme affiliation or registration — e.g. your SIB programme or your enquiry, so we can place you.
  • Sturdy shoes. Sensible in the workshop: closed, sturdy shoes.
  • Nothing loose around rotating machines. Tie back long hair, remove loose clothing and jewellery — as an example of how to handle spinning parts.
Device-level at the on-site induction What you specifically need and observe per device you'll get at the on-site induction — that's where it's made concrete, device by device. What's binding is the usage agreement you accept beforehand.
Ready?

Tell us what you want to build.

We'll sort out area, date and induction with you — and invite you into the workshop.
